About Head Basketball
Head Basketball applies the oversized-head formula to basketball. Two characters face off on a small court, jumping and shooting to score. The physics are exaggerated on purpose, balls bounce at wild angles and characters launch into the air with cartoon energy.
Each character has a unique special move that can swing a match. Fireballs that push the ball toward the basket, ice attacks that freeze the opponent for a moment. Learning when to use your ability and how to counter the opponent's is where the tactics sit, under what looks like a fast arcade game.
There are modes beyond single matches. Tournament mode runs you through a bracket, and a campaign mode introduces harder AI as you go. The variety keeps it from going stale after a lot of play.
